“I want my storytelling to not only touch people’s hearts but give them inspiration to remember their dreams and do something about it.”
New Album Release
New Stomping Grounds album is scheduled to drop on July 1, 2023. It will have nine original rock, country and folk & blues-inspired solo acoustic guitar/vocals written or co-written by Denis Loiseau - songs about teachers, parents, growing up, and loss.
Denis played folk & blues gigs in his home town of Denver, CO, and later in bluegrass and rock in various bands in the San Francisco Bay Area. Better known venues included The Fillmore West, the Haight Street Fair, Lake Tahoe ski areas, clubs for corporate events, and a live radio bluegrass broadcast from Paul’s Saloon in San Francisco.
Past releases include Back To The Top, written for the play Indian Summer, and Every Child’s Eyes, a music video co-written with Maurice Byrne and funded by the Walter S. Johnson Foundation as a volunteer recruitment and fundraising tool for California CASA (the Court Associated Special Advocates Program).
Denis’ honest and heartfelt rock, country and folk & blues inspired songs, influenced by James Taylor, Jackson Browne, Lowell George (Little Feat), Jerry Garcia (Grateful Dead), bluegrass, country blues, jazz and rock music, have been licensed to Nashville publishers, film & TV, theater, a statewide not-for-profit organization benefiting abused and neglected children in the foster care system, and an award-winning children’s album. He has also won songwriting awards from West Coast Songwriters, The Nashville Songwriters Organization International (NSAI), and the Unisong International Song Contest.
Denis currently lives in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where he’s enjoying life and pursuing his love of songwriting.
