Denis Loiseau is an Americana singer-songwriter and producer whose music lives in what he calls Quiet Realizations Americana — roots-based songs about the moments when something ordinary suddenly becomes clear. Drawing on folk, bluegrass, newgrass, blues, and rock, he writes melodic, story-driven songs centered on recognition, resilience, belonging, and connection.
Originally from Colorado, Denis spent years playing folk, bluegrass, blues, and rock in Denver and the San Francisco Bay Area before turning his focus increasingly to songwriting and production. One of his co-written songs appeared on an award-winning children’s album. His songwriting has been recognized by West Coast Songwriters and NSAI, including a first-place Berkeley Chapter Best Lyric of the Year award for the co-written “Unfinished Business” and NSAI recommendations for publisher consideration. His 2023 album Stomping Grounds is a stripped-down guitar-and-vocal collection, and from his home in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, he continues writing and producing new music.
